3D printer

The reconstruction of the hull continues

Thanks to a generous donation from the Archaeological Society of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck, the Department of Archaeology and Monument Preservation was able to purchase a 3D printer. With this tool, the loose wreckage consisting of three pieces of the ship's side and over 100 individual pieces of ship's timber can now be printed to scale. Subsequently, attempts will be made to attach these to the already printed hull in order to further reconstruct the original shape of the ship.
