Populist right-wing candidate Silvia Schulte (39) is running for the PFS in Rostock, with the intent of becoming mayor. Then she turns up as a human torch in a field. Detectives Alexander Bukow and Katrin König find her charred remains after what was clearly an act of extreme brutality. Was it revenge? They soon establish the identity of the dead woman, as her daughter Lena Schulte (18) had already reported her missing. The case attracts a lot of attention. Both the LKA state criminal police and the federal authorities for the protection of the constitution arrive on the scene quickly and undertake inquiries into the radical right-wing milieu. König and Bukow are dealing not only with their presumptuous federal colleagues, but also with an internal investigation. Still, they concentrate on Schulte’s past – and uncover a dark secret.
