Children´s and Youth Films, Norway / Ungarn 2017, 83 Min., German commentary, 6 years and older
Since her father died, Emma has lived alone with her mother Maria. When discussing this with his stuffed lion, Emma’s friend Casper decides it’s an unacceptable situation. A new husband must be found. During their shared family holiday in the Norwegian mountains, they meet Axel, an old friend of Casper’s father. The child logic is impressive: if Axel sneezes while Emma’s mother is smelling flowers, the two of them will have to marry. Fans of this beloved film series won’t be surprised that the children’s matchmaking efforts lead not to instant success, but straight to entertaining chaos. This fifth part of the series, with its talking stuffed animals and beautiful images of nature, is a magical, charming film for the littlest ones. The two best friends will instantly win over young viewers’ hearts.
