Isak is pretty bored by life. His job at a shooting gallery barely fills his dreary days; he’s indifferent to women. In his mid-twenties, the young man has never actually been in love. According to his father, love is like toasting bread – you need a lot of patience and sensitivity to achieve the perfect result. Isak is far from convinced that is true – until, by pure chance, he meets Em. The two spend a night and a morning on Stockholm’s streets and then Isak makes a snap decision to accompany Em on an usual road trip. She wants to go to Tornio, where she plans to steal a cello for her sister. What begins as a casual jaunt in Em’s father’s Saab quickly turns deadly serious. When the money runs out, Isak and Em commit their first robbery – and are soon running from the police.
