The summer of 1975: Martin has passed his final secondary school examinations and is just waiting for the first opportunity to escape from his miserable urban life with an alcoholic father and a disillusioned mother. When a friend offers him a summer job in the exclusive restaurant of a yacht club in the Stockholm Archipelago, Martin discovers a whole new world: It is here that he meets the love of his life and the restaurant owner, a slick playboy character, takes him under his wing. An unforgettable summer awaits him. But before he has time to understand what is happening, he finds himself in the middle of one of the largest drug scandals in the history of Swedish crime. Using brilliant images and a subtle soundtrack, director Hannes Holm revives 1970s Sweden – and simultaneously tells a bittersweet tale of growing up. The film takes reference to the case of the legendary "Sandhamn Gang", which was arrested in 1975. The title is taken from the popular Swedish song "Himlen är oskyldigt blå" by popstar Ted Gärdestad.
